My mural is about the culture of the native land and representation of the people of the sun. I chose to paint the history and roots of the Latino peoples cultural background. I drew the god Quetzalcoatl which means precious serpent the deity in Aztec and Maya culture and literature. The god of life, light and wisdom. He was the creator of arts and crafts and knowledge. The god of the sun, wind, air and learning. I also chose to draw the Aztec pyramid to signify the historical buildings that the ancients built. Around the land of the pyramid I drew corn which  symbolized fertility, prosperity and joy. On the right I drew the hummingbird , it was the symbol of rebirth the path to new beginnings. The Aztecs believed that strong loyal warriors were to be reincarnated to a hummingbird and granted the next life in the promised land. In the focal point of the drawing I drew the sun because it was very important to the Aztec people. They truly appreciated the sun as it was the source of life, provided warmth and sustenance to all living  creatures. It was the true power source to all life appreciated the sun as it was the source of life, provided warmth and sustenance to all living  creatures. It was the true power source to all life on planet earth and was truly valued to the highest degree. I chose this drawing because it is important for the Latino culture to know there roots on planet earth and was truly valued to the highest degree.
